Târgul de la Negreni - Negreni Fall Fair
fair with a tradition of several centuries is held each spring on the
second weekend of October, on the banks of the Crişul Repede river, in
Negreni. The village lies on E60 road, almost halfway between Oradea and
Cluj, 30 km from Sâncraiu. It’s similar to the Spring Fair, but it lies
on a much bigger area, and this evidently means more merchandise too.
fair consists of two parts: one resembles the general market, as known
in Romania, they sell clothes, shoes, and other new items. The other
part is antique lovers’ heaven, anyone can find a treasure in the wide
variety of folk costumes, books, furniture, tools, painting, items
designed from home weaved fabric, old tiles etc. One could spend days
wandering around this part of the market. The fair enjoys a large
popularity with visitors from Hungary and all over Europe.
