- Marna Nouă is a village founded in 1924 by moţi coming from Mărişel area, Cluj county, Transylvania, Romania.
NOTE: Traditionally, moţi (English: motits, German: Motzen, Hungarian: mócok, living in Țara Moților - Country of the Motits also calledȚara de Piatră - The Stone Land) are considered only the inhabitants of the 12 to 14 villages (Avram Iancu, Vidra de Jos, Vidra de Mijloc, Ponorel, Scărişoara, Albac, Horea, Neagra, Arieşeni etc.) villages situated above the town Câmpeni, Alba County. But moţi can be found on a larger area, including Mărişel and other villages.
